On to December....

Girls night out was so nice, we ate at Red Robin (love the $5 burger :) and talked, then walked around The Quilted Bear for an hour haha, we're so exciting :)

I love how Aysa can be a girlie girl and then a tom boy...today she was both, dressed as a princess and running around with sword made out of sticking markers together, saying "Im a warrior princess".

How stinkin' SWEET are they!

November so Far....

Apparently she didnt want oatmeal with bananas for breakfast...

Rub a dub dub, 3 babes in the tub

Aysa wanted new blocks so I told her she could get them if she used her own money...she was so excited to hand her zip lock baggie of change to the cashier!

We call Rowan the "attack baby" because she gets right up in your face and tries to bite/kiss you! Its precious.
"Ya know what my minds thinkin'?"

This was the only way I could clean the kitchen, I stuck her in the sink...she needed a bath anyway!
This was one of the first attempts at the stairs, today she made it completely up onto the first one...im not looking forward to this!
I only look sweet and innocent :)

It has been too long...Our camera broke a few months ago so I've been relying on other people to take pics and email them to me and that can take forever! Here is a family pic from September. There is more to come from Halloween and whatnot...so whenever peeps get them to me, I'll post them!

Rowan's First Haircut

Rowan had this little mullet thing on the back of her head and it had to go...here she is at our friend Amber's house getting it taken care of...I'd like to say she was a good sport, but as soon as the cutting began, so did the screaming! Oh well, she survived her first hair cut...the first of many I'm sure..I mean, look at that mop on her head!

Cali-Forn-I-A

Craig's mom flew the girls and me back to Cali at the end of July to visit again. It was such a fun trip...it was my first, and hopefully last, time flying alone with the 2 girls. We stayed for a week and boy did we stay busy! GiGi spoiled the crap out of us, as usual :) Cant wait to go back!

4 Years Old...When did that happen?

We had Aysa's 4th birthday party at Jump On It, a trampoline place. It was really cute and Aysa had a great time with all her little friends. Craig and I can't believe we have a 4 year old...crazy..After the party we took her to Build A Bear to make a stuffed animal. We have been trying to get rid of her binky for a long time now, so we thought that if she put the binky inside a stuffed animal, it would be easier to let it go...it worked! I think I was more sad than she was. She only comment she made afterwards was : "I miss my binky"...and that was it, hasnt talked about it since... success! What a fun day :)

Whats all the buzz about.....

We went to a Salt Lake Bees baseball game...It was fun, for like 2 innings...and then the kids decided it wasnt entertaining enough...

There's Nothing Better Than Summer....

Rowan sleeps allllll night! Its amazing. She goes to bed around 9:30, wakes up to eat at 7 am and goes right back to sleep til 10...i cant even believe it. What a little angel.

The ice cream truck came through the neighborhood...that was one of my favorite things about summer when i was a kid, so of course i ran down the driveway waving my hands in the air telling the guy to stop so we could get ice cream. One thing i didnt know when i was young, was how expensive the ice cream truck is! haha, 2 bucks for a little cone thing, geez! oh well, we thoroughly enjoyed eating it ;)

Can we say...CUTE!

Aysa's preschool had school pictures last week. Doesnt she look so grown up?! Gosh she's adorable...For days before the pics we practiced how to make a "pretty smile" instead of a "silly smile"...it paid off...she looks beautiful ;) Can you tell I'm proud?

May...where does the time go?

I can't even believe that May is just about over. We spent the month playing out side, having BBQs and taking walks. I really hope this is no indication of how fast the summer is going to go...I blinked and May was gone...Rowan is growing and sleeping really well...Aysa has been busy with school and friends.

The girls wore their prettiest dresses to church last Sunday...they looked so sweet.

Rowan has a fussy time every night and one of the ways to calm her is a bath. She just chills in the tub for like 20 min! She loves it. She's definitely a water baby.

April at a Glance

It was such a treat to bring Rowan home on Easter..it really made the day extra special...I got a baby and Aysa got Bakugan in her basket (some weird Japanese toy that shes obsessed with). It was a crazy weekend!

Its amazing how babies bring the family together. My grandparents flew in from Pennsylvania for a visit. I hadn't seen them for almost 2 years...it was great to have them around. MomMom helped so much with Rowan AND she cleaned my kitchen :)...Thanks MomMom! By the way, there are 4 generations sitting on that couch...cool, huh?

We actually all fell asleep on the couch, I was sitting down and leaning over with my head on the boppy and then Aysa was on top of me...when I woke up I had to take a picture of my two beautiful girls.

GiGi and Papa Shawn came for a visit from California. They spoiled the heck out of us, especially Aysa...They are probably her favorite people. We had a fun weekend..it was really nice for me because GiGi took Rowan for me both nights so I could actually sleep...it was amazing!

The warm weather is here to stay, I hope...needless to say, we spend most of our time outside...its definitely Aysa's favorite part of the day when Dad comes home and plays "kickety kick ball" with her.

Craig turned 29 at the end of the month...he told me repeatedly throughout the year that he didnt want to celebrate his birthday, but thats no fun, so I threw him a surprise party with a bunch of our friends.
All in all, April was a very BUSY month. New babies, visiting with family and birthdays definitely make a month fly by. I cant believe we're already in May. I'm not complaining though, the pool opens in 3 weeks! Hello summer.

The Story

I had Rowan at 39 weeks...she was 6 days early! No complaints here...well, actually, I'll explain....I had been having contractions for about a weeks straight. So when I was having contractions all day on thursday the 9th, i didnt think much of it...I went about my day, stopping every 8-10 minutes to have a contraction. Around 4:30 pm they were getting more regular, still didnt think anything of it since i had 3 days of pre labor with Aysa. So allllll through the night contraction after contraction...no sleep for me...Around 4:30 AM I decided that I should probably go to the hospital to get checked since Craig was supposed to be leaving at 5:30 AM for a business trip. We got to the hospital alittle before 5 AM and when the nurse checked me, I was already 5 cm dilated and 90 % effaced....They were not sending me home. So Craig called and changed his flight to 12:30 in the afternoon, hoping that I would pop this baby out as fast as I did Aysa. We called my doula and she came right over. Then we moved into the room with the jacuzzi tub. My mom and sisters came and we were all hanging out, all like 9 people...me, craig, mom, Abbie, Emily, my doula, 2 midwives and a nurse. It was really a great time though. During a contraction everyone would be quiet so i could relax and concentrate and then when it was over, we were all chatting away. It was way awesome.
I was in and out of the tub, on and off the floor, its crazy how the weirdest positions can be comfortable when you're in labor. I have to say, Hypnobirthing is the way to go...this was my second hypnobirth and it seems to get better each time. The contractions never got too intense. In fact, when everyone started scurrying around getting things set up for the baby to come, I was like "what are you guys doing? It's not time yet" . Well aparently it was! haha...I was 10 cm and didnt feel any different than i did at 5 cm. My labor was about 5 1/2 hrs long, just like with Aysa and i only pushed for a few minutes. It was an amazing experience. Well, she was born at 10:29 am, just in time, since Craig was getting picked up from the hospital at 11 to go to the airport...It sucked that he had to leave, but it was a really important trip...He was back within 24 hrs, so he didnt miss too much. I had a lot of family and friends there to keep me company.
